★ How I feel about this character: much like for Dan, Serena was one of my favorite characters at the beginning of the series. That changed quickly by the end of the first season… the main thing I don’t like about Serena is… I don’t really know what kind of person she is. What does she want to do with her life? What skills does she have? What does she hope for her future? What is she working for? It’s not like I hate her, but she doesn’t do anything to make me like her either. She goes from boyfriend to boyfriend, and every single time it’s like she’s madly in love all over again. I don’t like how everything perfectly works out for her, when she does nothing (or very little) to achieve things. I don’t like how everyone likes her and falls in love with her… because I honestly don’t see the appeal. I mean she’s gorgeous and fun, but I think she’s so bland… I don’t really care what happens to her. I don’t like how she treated Dan and Nate in the fourth season, how she didn’t know who she loves more (really?) and after twenty-two episodes of “Nate? Dan? Nate? Dan?” she ends up… choosing herself? (Don’t get me wrong, they were silly to pursue her for so long too.) Because, what did you do until now? She’s cute with the people she loves, but really… I don’t know what to think about her. I wish she was a more consistent character. And I know this is - once again - the writers fault, but I can’t feel otherwise at this point. She was a good character in the short run… but in a long one? Not so sure…

★ All the people I ship romantically with this character: the only ship involving Serena that I’ve REALLY liked (except for Dan/Serena, but that ended quickly with the first season) is Serena/Carter. That was the one time I got interested in a ship other than Chuck/Blair. But it ended how it ended, so…

★ My non-romantic OTP for this character: I like her interactions with Blair (I hope they’re past their ridiculous fights), Eric and Chuck as well. I like how they’ve moved past their “you’re my stepsister, I want to sleep with you/you’re disgusting and a perv” phase.

★ My unpopular opinion about this character: I really don’t know what to say XD

★ One thing I wish would happen/had happened with this character in canon: I’d really like to see more of the old Serena (via flashbacks) and I wish we could see a trace of that wild Serena every now and then. She’s always been described as this reckless, crazy young person, but you can never really see that. She’s always cute, smiling and happy. You almost can’t believe she had such a scandalous past.
